In the Kitzbühel Alps the season starts in November with glacier skiing on the Kitzsteinhorn in Kaprun. The Schmittenhöhe in Zell am See offers an attractive family package and 5 long ski runs to the valley. The Skicircus Saalbach-Hinterglemm-Leogang scores with its absolute snow guarantee. About 90% of 200 km of ski runs can already be covered by artificial snow.

 

The ski area Kitzbühel with its spectacular 3S cable car railway and the legendary Streif downhill run lies in the heart of the ski region. The Skiwelt Wilder Kaiser – Brixental, Austria’s largest interconnected ski area, has already received numerous prizes and  awards, the last in 2010 as ”the best ski area in the world” .

 

Parts of the Schneewinkel ski area are the free-ride ski area in Fieberbrunn, the family friendly Steinplatte in Waidring and the ski area St. Johann in Tirol with its wide range of nice and cosy mountain-huts.

 

In the high valley Wildschönau you can find the highest situated ski resorts of the region while the Alpachtal ski area is the perfect place for recreational skiers.
