The “Neue Bamberger Hütte” is a wonderful starting point for many easy to moderate hiking trips. Especially families enjoy the picturesque landscape with countless lakes and summits which are easy to hike.

All hiking trails are very well marked and easy to follow.

Enjoy the untouched nature and the wonderful views! Discover rare and protected plants. If you are lucky you might even get to see same marmots and chamois.

Access:

Summer:
From Gasthaus Wegscheid it takes about 1,5 hours to get to the "Neue Bamberger Hütte".
Your baggage can be delivered to the "Neue Bamberger Hütte" by cargo lift.

Winter:
Please use the marked winter path from Gasthaus Wegscheid, which takes about 2 hours. The summer trail is not recommended to use, because of the danger of avalanches.

Tristkopf 2359, 2 hours
Kröndlhorn 2444 m - 2,5 hours
Schafsiedl 2447 m - 2,5 hours
Salzachgeier 2466 m, 3,5 hours

Winter Wonderland:
The area around the Bamberger Hütte is ideally for friends of the sport ski tour. The area offers many different tours. Because of the low altitude difference to the summits - it´s an ideal place for beginners. The area arround the Bamberger Hütte is snow - relable and a real insidertip!
