Itter is a small, friendly village at the foot of Tyrol’s most beautiful mountain vantage point, the Hohe Salve in the Kitzbühel Alps. Here you can enjoy the breathtaking mountain scenery and the spectacular view of the Wilder Kaiser and the surrounding mountain world.
The small village is adorned by a majestic old castle, the Schloss Itter, which is also the symbol of the resort. Nobody knows exactly when the castle was built, but it was first mentioned in a document in 1420.
